With this economy I can't afford movie Nights.

Occasionally Andrew and I will brave a family movie night with the kids but it has been a while. Also I have recently banned the purchase of new movies in our house. My kids love to man handle dvds ruining them permanently with scratches and all kind of slime on the back. I can't tell you how many times I have seen a movie blur up and skip scenes only to pull it out of the machine and find a full peanut butter and jelly sandwich stuck to the back of the dvd. Since Disney only opens the vault every so many years we have not been able to watch expensive cute movies like Peter Pan, Lion king, 101 Dalmations, and other really good ones. I just can't get the youngest to understand how to "not touch the shinny part". So I figure rather than become abusive we will red box and return the ruined dvds to the idiots that own red box. The ironic part is I get so bent when I rent a movie from there and its all scratched knowing I return them in worse condition than is ethical. I guess in my mind I truly believe no one has it as bad as I do and if they did they would understand any way so these "other" people who are rude enough to return a movie scratched are selfish menaces to society and deserve the wrath of my raunchy feelings being spewed out into the universe for them to catch on a windy day. Blah......
Well Aunt Net rolled into town and bought them a movie they have always wanted. Alvin and the Chipmunks. They laugh so hard at that movie and she hooked them up with more candy than is offered at the real movie theater. Lucky ducks I tell ya. And yes this new movie is already missing its case and sticky on the shiny part. But at least I didn't pay for it.
