Addie is too smart
Yesterday was the 2nd grade award ceremony. Addie won more awards than any other student in the 2nd grade at her school. She won all of the highest awards in academics. And the best over all award for her class the Citizenship award. She gingerly mentioned something about an award ceremony as she was getting dressed for school that morning, but I had to work. Good thing Andrew's parents were in town so someone could be there. I felt bad when I heard how she cleaned house. At home we treat her normal and honestly I never knew she was that on top of things. Yes I know she is smart. But I really had no idea just HOW smart. I never help her with her home work. I never push her.(mainly because I hate parents that are that way with their kids) Outside of getting her a public library card I don't do anything for her really. I mean... food and shelter but that's more her dads doing since my income mainly pays for my Starbucks and shoe addiction. Any way. She is pretty amazing. And its all her doing. OMG what am I going to do with this crazy girl? For now my game plan is to down play her smarts so it still looks like there is a good reason why I am running the show.

Mothers Day 2013
I can't describe how much it means to me that my kids tried so hard to make my mothers day special. I love what they come up with on their own, with no money being spent. Olivia filled up a gift bag with things from around the house. Lol. Too cute when I recognized all the items and had to put them back once a couple days had gone by. They also found old balloons left over from a party a couple yrs ago and they blew them up in the living room. I am not a fan of mothers day at all. But I have to say I do love how creative and sweet my kids are, and that makes me love being a mother.
Disney Land with Aunt Net 2013
My sister wanted to spend loads of money taking little Derek to Disney Land. Not sure why.?? We all know if I had that kind of money to blow I would be on a cruise BY MY SELF!...but she loves kids. There is a special place in heaven for her I am sure.
She did not take a ton of pictures. I am usually the one that does all that. But he had a blast and that's all that matters right? Its been weeks since they got back and every day he will tell us a story from his trip. He sleeps with the mickey mouse ears she got him on. And he considers her his best friend. I of course was worried about how much I would miss him when he left but I knew this was the opportunity of a life time for a little 5 yr old to see lightening Mcqueen in real life (he swears it was the REAL lightening mcqueen) and I couldn't let him pass up. Thanks Annette for making his dreams come true!
